Technical Information

Heat-seal is a process where designs are computer generated and cut from 1-colour vinyl.

It is possible to produce 3 or 4 colour designs by repeating and overlaying of the colours. More complicated designs can be achieved by using a printed process onto vinyl, which is then heat sealed onto the garment.

Heat-sealing works on most fabrics by semi melting the vinyl onto the polyester content of the garment.

Heat-sealed garments are very durable but care should be taken in the laundry process and garments should be ironed on the reverse side.

Heat-seal is especially suitable on lightweight fabrics, such as Tee Shirts where embroidery is sometimes, too heavy.
